About
My name is Kayla.
My journey into project management started in a completely different world—I spent five years as a cake decorator, stuck in a dead-end job that left me feeling unfulfilled and burned out. After one particularly grueling shift, I made a bold decision to walk away and break into the corporate world. I started as a receptionist at a law firm, and from there, I let my curiosity and drive guide me. I asked to help wherever I could, got pulled into different departments, and eventually discovered project management—a role I’d never even heard of before but immediately knew was meant for me.

Earning my PMP and stepping into my first official PM role changed everything. I finally felt like I was doing work that aligned with my strengths, where I could add real value and be recognized for it. Project management didn’t just give me a new career—it gave me confidence, purpose, and financial stability.

Now, I’m passionate about helping others experience that same transformation. As a career coach, I work with aspiring and current project managers to help them build confidence, find clarity, and make intentional moves toward fulfilling, high-impact careers—just like I did.
